Subscription Policy

SUBSCRIPTION POLICY (AUTOMATIC RENEWAL TERMS)

LKS LLC (d/b/a Chinology) — our store

Last Updated: April 13, 2026

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This policy governs every recurring purchase program operated by Chinology and applies together with our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use as well as our Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy.

By signing up for a Subscription Service, you explicitly agree to the terms described below, which include:

  • Automatic recurring charges to your chosen payment method;
  • The billing cadence and amount shown to you at checkout;
  • The cancellation cutoffs established in this policy.

Please read this carefully before you enroll.

🔐 Manage, pause, skip, or cancel your subscription at any point before your next billing date: 👉 /a/loop_subscriptions/customer

1. SUBSCRIPTION OVERVIEW AND ENROLLMENT

1.1 What Is a Subscription

Chinology makes available optional subscription programs ("Subscription Services") that deliver selected Chinology products automatically on a recurring schedule, at the frequency the customer chooses during checkout.

Enrolling in a subscription is completely optional. Every Chinology product can also be bought as a single, one-time order without any subscription.

1.2 Affirmative Consent at Checkout

Joining a subscription requires the customer's affirmative consent at the moment of purchase. During checkout, you will be shown:

  • A clear and conspicuous notice of the recurring nature of the subscription;
  • The precise renewal price, including any gap between it and the introductory or first-order price;
  • The billing cadence (for example, every 30 days);
  • The steps required to cancel;
  • A plainly labeled, unchecked button or checkbox that you must affirmatively activate in order to enroll.

Your affirmative action forms legally binding electronic consent to recurring charges, under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and applicable state law.

2. INITIAL OFFER AND RENEWAL PRICING DISCLOSURE

2.1 Distinction Between Initial Order and Subsequent Renewals

The price of your first subscription order may carry a promotional discount (introductory pricing). Later renewal orders will be billed at the standard subscription price in effect at the time, as shown at checkout, which may be higher than the introductory price.

The renewal price that applies to your subscription is displayed:

  • Throughout the checkout flow, before you enroll;
  • In the order confirmation email;
  • In your customer portal at all times after enrollment.

2.2 Itemized Charges

Each recurring charge may consist of:

  • The product price (at the renewal rate in effect at the time);
  • Any applicable shipping fees;
  • Any applicable taxes (computed at renewal based on your shipping address and the relevant jurisdiction);
  • Optional add-ons (such as expedited shipping or shipping protection) where previously selected.

2.3 No Hidden or Additional Fees

Chinology charges no "subscription fees," "membership fees," or any other recurring charge beyond the product price, shipping, taxes, and any add-ons listed above.

3. PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS

3.1 Credit and Debit Cards Only

For Subscription Services, Chinology accepts only credit and debit card payments handled through our authorized payment processors. The accepted methods are shown at checkout.

3.2 Wallet and Alternative Payment Methods Excluded

Subscription Services cannot be used with digital wallet services (such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or alternative payment methods (such as PayPal, Buy-Now-Pay-Later services, or bank transfers), unless expressly stated at checkout. This limitation allows consistent token portability and uninterrupted subscription processing across our authorized payment processors.

If you want to enroll in a Subscription Service, you must finish checkout with a valid credit or debit card.

4. BILLING FREQUENCY AND AMOUNT

4.1 Recurring Billing

By finishing a subscription purchase, you expressly authorize Chinology to charge your payment method on a recurring basis without needing separate approval for each transaction.

Billing happens automatically on the renewal date shown in your order confirmation email and customer portal.

4.2 Cadence Determined at Enrollment

The billing and shipping frequency applicable to your subscription is the cadence:

  • Confirmed by you at the time of enrollment on the product page at our store (for example, every 30 days, every 45 days, every 60 days, or any other frequency offered for the relevant product); and
  • Shown and adjustable at any time inside your customer portal at /a/loop_subscriptions/customer.

If any apparent discrepancy arises, the cadence shown in the customer portal at the time of the next scheduled billing date is the controlling cadence for that renewal.

You may change your billing frequency at any time through the customer portal, within the available frequency options for the relevant product. Changes apply to the next billing cycle and do not apply retroactively to orders already processed.

4.3 Renewal Date Calculation

The renewal date is figured from the date of the most recent successful subscription charge, plus the chosen billing interval. If a billing date lands on a weekend or holiday, the charge may run on the next business day.

5. PRE-RENEWAL NOTIFICATION

5.1 Reminder Notice

To meet applicable card network rules (including Visa Integrity Risk Program requirements) and applicable state automatic-renewal laws, we will send you an electronic reminder notice ahead of each scheduled renewal charge.

The reminder is sent to the email address linked to your account at least seven (7) days before the scheduled renewal date and will contain:

  • The next scheduled billing date;
  • The amount that will be charged;
  • A direct link to the customer portal where you can manage, pause, skip, or cancel your subscription;

5.2 Customer Responsibility

Failing to receive, open, or read a reminder notice (whether because of spam filters, an outdated email address, a full inbox, or any other reason) does not excuse you from the recurring charge or release you from the duty to cancel before the cutoff defined in Section 9 if you wish to avoid the renewal.

It is your responsibility to keep a valid, monitored email address on file at all times.

6. ACCOUNT UPDATER SERVICE

We take part in account updater services offered by our payment processors and the major card networks (Visa Account Updater, Mastercard Automatic Billing Updater, American Express Cardrefresher, and equivalents).

These services may automatically refresh your stored payment information (such as expiration date, card number, or a new card issued by the same issuer) when your card issuer pushes the updated details through the network.

If your payment information is refreshed through this service, you authorize us to keep charging the updated payment method for your active subscriptions, with no further action needed from you.

If you would rather not have your payment information updated automatically, you must:

  • Remove your stored payment method through the customer portal;
  • Cancel your subscription under Section 10.

7. FAILED PAYMENT RETRY POLICY

7.1 Retry Schedule

If a recurring charge is declined or fails for any reason (insufficient funds, expired card, fraud hold, and so on), you authorize us to:

  • Retry the charge up to four (4) times across a span of fourteen (14) days;
  • Email you notifications asking for updated payment information;
  • Hold the next scheduled shipment until payment is received.

7.2 Suspension and Cancellation for Non-Payment

If every retry fails and you do not supply updated payment information within fourteen (14) days of the first failed charge, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled at our discretion. Any past-due amounts stay owed.

7.3 Reaffirmation of Authorization

Your ongoing enrollment in a Subscription Service represents continuing reaffirmation of your authorization for recurring charges. Updating your payment information on file or successfully completing a retried charge represents affirmative reaffirmation of your authorization for current and future charges.

8. CHANGES TO PRICING, FREQUENCY, OR PRODUCT COMPOSITION

8.1 Right to Modify

Chinology reserves the right to revise subscription pricing, product composition, shipment quantity, billing cadence, accepted payment methods, taxes, shipping fees, or product availability at any time.

8.2 Advance Notice for Material Changes

For material price increases or material changes to the subscription terms, we will give advance notice as required by applicable law. That notice goes to the email and similar state statutes).

8.3 Acceptance Through Continued Use

Your continued participation in the Subscription Service after the effective date of any modified term represents your acceptance of the modified terms.

If you do not accept the modified terms, you must cancel your subscription before the change's effective date.

9. SKIP, PAUSE, AND CANCEL — DEFINITIONS AND DEADLINES

9.1 24-Hour Cancellation Cutoff

To stop any upcoming scheduled charge, you must finish your cancellation, pause, or skip request at least twenty-four (24) hours before the next billing date shown in your customer portal.

Requests made within the twenty-four (24) hour window right before a scheduled billing date may not stop that scheduled charge from being processed.

9.2 Skip vs. Pause vs. Cancel — Important Definitions

These three actions produce different results:

  • SKIP: Skipping a single shipment pushes the next shipment back by one billing cycle. The subscription stays active. The skipped cycle is not billed, but the subscription resumes automatically on the next scheduled date.
  • PAUSE: Pausing the subscription suspends it for a set period (chosen by the customer in the portal). The subscription stays active during the pause and resumes automatically when the chosen pause duration ends.
  • CANCEL: Cancellation fully ends the subscription. No future shipments are sent and no future charges are made.

Skipping or pausing your subscription does not cancel it. Unless you fully cancel, recurring charges will start again.

9.3 No Retroactive Effect

Skip, pause, and cancellation requests apply only to future billing cycles. Requests made after a renewal charge has already gone through will not reverse that charge or cancel the matching shipment, which has already been automatically prepared for fulfillment.

10. HOW TO CANCEL — AT LEAST AS EASY AS ENROLLMENT

To comply with applicable consumer protection laws, including the FTC Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) and applicable state automatic-renewal laws, cancelling your subscription is offered through methods that are at least as easy as the way you enrolled.

10.1 Online Cancellation via Customer Portal (Primary Method)

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the secure customer portal at:

/a/loop_subscriptions/customer

The portal is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and requires no phone call, mailed letter, or live representative. Cancellation through the portal takes effect upon on-screen confirmation.

10.2 Email Cancellation (Alternative Method)

You may also cancel by emailing info@our store with:

  • Subject line: "Cancel Subscription";
  • The email address tied to your account;
  • Your order or subscription number (if available).

Email cancellation requests are handled within one (1) business day of receipt.

10.3 No Required Phone Call or Interaction With a Representative

Chinology does not require you to phone a customer service representative or speak with a live agent in order to cancel your subscription. Any save offer or retention message shown during the online cancellation flow is optional and can be skipped at any time using the clearly labeled cancellation button.

10.4 Cancellation Confirmation

After a successful cancellation, you will receive a confirmation email at the address on file. Please keep this confirmation as proof of cancellation.

If you do not receive a confirmation email within twenty-four (24) hours of submitting your cancellation request, please contact info@our store to verify that the cancellation went through.

11. EFFECT OF CANCELLATION

After a successful cancellation:

  • No future recurring charges will be made;
  • No further shipments will be sent;
  • Any subscription order already processed before cancellation (including orders processed within twenty-four (24) hours of the cancellation submission) will be fulfilled and is not subject to refund under Section 13;
  • Your customer account stays active and you may keep using your account portal to view past orders, update contact details, or re-subscribe.

Cancellation does not entitle the customer to any refund of past subscription charges, except as expressly provided in our Refund Policy.

12. REACTIVATION OF A CANCELLED SUBSCRIPTION

12.1 Re-subscription

If you have cancelled a subscription previously, you may re-subscribe at any time by placing a new subscription order through the Website.

12.2 Pricing Upon Reactivation

Re-subscriptions follow the standard subscription pricing in effect at the time of re-enrollment. Promotional, introductory, or first-time discounts are not applied retroactively to reactivated subscriptions and may not be available to returning customers.

12.3 No Reinstatement of Past Benefits

Reactivation does not restore past loyalty benefits, accumulated streaks, milestone progress, or other rewards earned during the earlier subscription term, except as expressly stated in the loyalty program terms.

13. NO REFUNDS ON PROCESSED SUBSCRIPTION ORDERS

Once a subscription renewal payment has been charged successfully, the matching order is automatically prepared for fulfillment and is not eligible for cancellation, modification, refund, or rerouting, no matter whether the shipment has left the warehouse.

This applies even if:

  • The customer later cancels the subscription;
  • The customer claims to have forgotten the renewal;
  • The customer claims to have been unaware of the renewal date;
  • The customer did not open or read the pre-renewal reminder notice referenced in Section 5;
  • The customer's circumstances have changed since the previous order.

Subscription renewal orders are excluded from the 30-day money-back guarantee described in our Refund Policy and are not eligible for refund based on dissatisfaction, lack of perceived results, or change of mind.

The complete Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy that applies to subscription orders is set out in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

14. SUBSCRIPTION ELIGIBILITY AND PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

14.1 Exclusion From Money-Back Guarantee

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Subscription renewal orders (second and later shipments) are not eligible for the 30-day money-back guarantee described in our Refund Policy;
  • Promotional discount codes, free gifts, and bonus products may be limited to first-order subscriptions and may not apply to renewal orders;
  • Promotional pricing shown at enrollment may apply only to the first order; renewals will be billed at the standard subscription price.

14.2 Right to Limit or Revoke Promotional Benefits

Chinology reserves the right to limit, change, revoke, or withdraw promotional benefits at any time, including in cases of:

  • Suspected abuse of promotional offers;
  • Excessive cancellations after first-order discounts;
  • Repeated refunds;
  • Multi-account behavior aimed at obtaining repeated first-time discounts;
  • Suspected fraudulent activity.

15. ADDRESS, ACCOUNT, AND CONTACT RESPONSIBILITY

15.1 Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping accurate, current information in your customer account, including:

  • Shipping address;
  • Billing address;
  • Email address;
  • Phone number;
  • Payment method.

15.2 Updates Take Effect Going Forward Only

Updates to your address or payment information apply to the next scheduled billing cycle and do not apply retroactively to orders already processed.

15.3 Loss of Account Access

You are responsible for keeping access to the email address used when you enrolled in the subscription. Chinology is not responsible for subscription problems caused by:

  • Loss of access to your registered email address;
  • Outdated contact information;
  • Failure to receive notifications because of spam filters, full inboxes, or technical issues on your end.

If you lose access to your account, contact info@our store with verification details to restore access.

16. SHIPPING, DELIVERY, AND RISK OF LOSS

Subscription shipments follow the same shipping, delivery, title-transfer, and risk-of-loss terms as one-time orders, as set out in Section 10 of our Terms and Conditions.

Title and risk of loss for subscription shipments pass to you upon delivery of the product to the carrier. Carrier delivery confirmation is conclusive proof of delivery.

Lost, stolen, or undelivered subscription packages are governed by Sections 10 and 11 of our Refund Policy.

17. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES ON SUBSCRIPTION CHARGES

By enrolling in a subscription, you affirmatively acknowledge that recurring charges are pre-authorized by you and are not "unauthorized charges" for purposes of any chargeback or fraud claim.

Chargebacks filed against subscription renewal charges where:

  • The customer previously consented to recurring billing;
  • The pre-renewal reminder notice was sent to the email on file;
  • The customer did not cancel within the timeframe required by Section 9;

constitute a material breach of these terms and of our Terms and Conditions.

In those cases, Chinology reserves the right to pursue every remedy set out in Section 12 of our Refund Policy and Section 12 of our Terms and Conditions, including:

  • Submitting complete chargeback documentation to your card issuer (including your enrollment consent record, pre-renewal notice, billing authorization, order confirmations, and delivery proof);
  • Cancelling all active subscriptions on your account;
  • Blacklisting all associated email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, and payment methods;
  • Declining future orders;
  • Reporting the chargeback to applicable fraud prevention databases.

18. SUBSCRIPTION SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION BY CHINOLOGY

Chinology may suspend, cancel, or terminate any subscription at our sole discretion, with or without notice (where permitted by law), in the following cases:

  • Failed or declined recurring payments not resolved within the timeframe set out in Section 7;
  • Suspected fraudulent activity (including stolen card use, identity theft, or organized fraud schemes);
  • Customer breach of these terms or our Terms and Conditions;
  • Repeated chargebacks;
  • Excessive refund requests;
  • Abuse of promotional offers;
  • Public disparagement, harassment, or abusive behavior toward Chinology employees, agents, or representatives;
  • Government order, regulatory action, or compliance requirement;
  • Discontinuation of the subscribed product.

Suspension or termination by Chinology does not entitle the customer to any refund of past charges.

19. ANTI-ABUSE OF SUBSCRIPTION OFFERS

Subscription Services are subject to the anti-abuse provisions of Section 9.6 of our Terms and Conditions and Section 20 of our Refund Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.

In the subscription context, abusive patterns include but are not limited to:

  • Repeatedly enrolling in and cancelling subscriptions to capture introductory discounts across multiple accounts, addresses, or payment methods;
  • Using disposable email addresses, virtual cards, or temporary shipping addresses to get around first-time eligibility limits;
  • Coordinating with third parties to share, transfer, or pool subscription benefits;
  • Filing chargebacks on subscription orders that were properly disclosed and authorized.

Customers showing abusive patterns may have all subscriptions cancelled without refund and be permanently blacklisted from future purchases.

20. NON-TRANSFER AND PERSONAL USE

Subscription Services are personal to the originally enrolled customer and may not be sold, assigned, transferred, gifted, shared, or otherwise handed over to any third party.

Subscription Services are meant for personal household use only and not for commercial resale, redistribution, or use by third parties. Each household is limited to one (1) active subscription per product type, except where the Company expressly permits otherwise.

21. ELECTRONIC RECORDS AND PROOF OF CONSENT

Subscription enrollment, acceptance of recurring billing terms, agreement to this Subscription Policy, all pre-renewal notifications, all charge attempts, and all customer-initiated changes to the subscription (skip, pause, cancel, modify) are recorded electronically and stored securely.

These records constitute conclusive evidence of your consent to recurring billing and of the proper functioning of the subscription program for purposes of any dispute, chargeback, regulatory inquiry, or judicial proceeding.

You consent to the use of these electronic records as admissible evidence in any such proceeding.

22. STATE-SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES

22.1 California Residents

In compliance with the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §17600 et seq., as amended by AB 2863):

  • All material terms of the Subscription Service (including the recurring nature, billing cadence, charge amount, and cancellation steps) are disclosed in a clear and conspicuous way at the point of enrollment;
  • Online cancellation is available through the customer portal with no requirement to call, mail a letter, or speak with a live representative;
  • Pre-renewal reminders are sent in line with Section 5;
  • For subscriptions that automatically renew for a term longer than one year, additional advance notice is given as required by California law.

22.2 Other State Residents

For residents of states with specific automatic-renewal laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C., and others), Chinology works to comply with all applicable state-specific disclosure, notice, and cancellation requirements.

If you believe a particular state-law requirement is not being met, please contact info@our store so we can address your concern.

22.3 Federal Compliance

This Subscription Policy is built to comply with the FTC Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) (15 U.S.C. §8401 et seq.) and the FTC Negative Option Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 425), as each may be amended from time to time.

23. FORCE MAJEURE

Chinology will not be liable for delays or failures in fulfilling subscription orders or processing cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruptions, customs delays, natural disasters, labor disputes, supply chain issues, payment processor outages, pandemic, governmental actions, or internet infrastructure failures.

In a force majeure event, Chinology will use commercially reasonable efforts to limit disruption and will notify customers of any material impact on subscription processing.

24. POLICY UPDATES

Chinology reserves the right to change or update this Subscription Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email at least thirty (30) days before the change's effective date (or such longer notice as required by applicable law).

Continued participation in the Subscription Service after the effective date of any change represents acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not accept the modified terms, you must cancel your subscription before the effective date.

The policy that applies to your subscription at any given time is the version in effect on that date. Archived versions of the policy will be kept for reference.

25. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER POLICIES

This Subscription Policy is an integral part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use. If a conflict arises between this Subscription Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions will prevail, except for matters expressly governed by this Subscription Policy (subscription enrollment, renewal, cancellation, and related operational rules), in which case this Subscription Policy will prevail.

This Subscription Policy should be read together with:

  • Our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use (in particular Section 13 — Subscriptions);
  • Our Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy (in particular Section 1.2 — Subscription Cancellation);
  • Our Privacy Policy;

26. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

This Subscription Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and is subject to the binding arbitration agreement, class action waiver, mass action waiver, and jury trial waiver set out in Sections 21 through 24 of our Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated here by reference.

The Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. §1 et seq.) governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration provisions.
